CEREMONIES

One of the most meaningful things we do as a community of faith is to gather and acknowledge transitions. Whether we are marking a beginning, as with baptisms and weddings, or whether we are celebrating the life of someone who has died, these are sacred moments that we observe with intention and care. Our liturgies give us a way to hold space for joy and for grief, and to look together at the promises given to us by God. Our community values showing up for one another, and in the case of a funeral, our pastoral care and hospitality teams will help support the grieving family.  While these important ceremonies typically center around a member of this church, if you are not a member but are interested in a baptism, wedding or funeral to be held at Trinity please contact us and our priest will reach out to learn more about your situation.

Weddings

In baptism we promise to “respect the dignity of every human being.” Because of thispromise, Trinity practices marriage equality, offering the sacrament of marriage to both same-gender and different - gender couples. Marriage is understood as a sacrament in the Episcopal Church, an outward sign of inward grace of God.

Baptisms

In the Episcopal Church, the sacrament of baptism is the moment when the baptized is fully welcomed into the Church. From that moment forward, the baptized is marked as Christ’s own forever, a gift that can never be changed or taken away.
