VESTRY
Members of the Vestry are the elected leaders of the parish. Partnering with our clergy and staff, the Vestry manages our financial affairs, oversees policies and procedures, establishes action plans, and evolves our beautiful building and grounds. But most importantly, the Vestry cares for the spiritual and programmatic vitality of our church. Through prayer and reflection, the Vestry works hard to align Trinity’s hopes and plans with Jesus’ commandments to love God and our neighbor.

Kathy Ericson
Senior Warden
Hi, I’m Kathy Ericson. I’ve been attending Trinity since the mid 80’s. I can’t imagine my life without Trinity. I’ve been helping with Children and Youth programs and events for a long time, and you can still find me with “The Twelve” many Sunday mornings. I also help with the Acolyte program, play with the Bell Choir, and serve as a Verger.

Chris Commers
Junior Warden
I've been a Trinitarian for about 20 years. I've been fortunate to serve on Vestry twice before. My background includes teaching, non-profit leadership, organizing and working with the Center for Courage and Renewal to support successful learning environments. I currently serve on the ECMN Council representing Episcopalean Communities in the west metro area. Thanks for your consideration as we elect new Vestry members!

Ben Morrill
Vestry
Trinity came into our lives via Fiona, who would come on Sundays with her Great Aunt Leslie Skyrms. When Leslie moved out of state, Anne and I started to bring her. It quickly became apparent that we had found our Spiritual Home to raise our 3 children in. I am blessed with the opportunity to serve our community in the vestry.

Mary Jo Nairn
Vestry
I’ve been at Trinity for over 20 years. I’m a cradle Episcopalian and grew up in the church: Sunday school, youth group, choir and served in a variety of roles at the parishes where I’ve been a member including worship leader and contemporary music director, youth minister, lector, vestry member and junior warden. I love our open and inclusive church and can’t wait to see where God leads us next.

Mike Tobin
Vestry
My family and I have been members of Trinity for about 10 years. My wife Jessica and I have three daughters ranging in age from 6th grade to freshman year in college. We have enjoyed raising a family in the Trinity community and look forward to many more years to come.

Susan Morton
Vestry
My husband Michael and I were confirmed at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Flagstaff, Arizona where I also served on the Vestry as Treasurer. I am currently certified as a Master Gardener and have been recently appointed to the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District because of my interest in water stewardship and native pollinator gardens. I am so glad that we have found Trinity as our church home and am happy to serve this congregation.

Wiley Sharp
Vestry
I am from Louisiana originally and am a denominational “half-breed”; raised in my father’s Roman Catholic tradition until confirmation when I switched to my mother’s Episcopal church. My wife, Debbie Hoffmann, and I have been attending Trinity for nearly 30 years. In the 1990s, I served as a youth minister, was on the Vestry, and was Junior Warden. Today, Debbie sings in the choir, and I serve as a Lector. We are blessed with four children and ten grandchildren.
Laura Capaldini
Treasurer
Laura and her family joined Trinity in 2006. She has been active as a Treasurer and Finance Committee member for a number of years. She’s also involved in Outreach, Giving and Gratitude, Buildings and Grounds, and Personnel Committees among other activities. Laura has served on a number of nonprofit boards and volunteers regularly with ICA Food Shelf. Laura’s husband Mark sings in the choir and their young adult children Lia (married to Matt) and Nick live nearby. Her background is in nonprofit management and finance and she earned an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern.
