Trinity Play meets every Sunday morning from 9:15–10:00 am during the program year (September–May) and is for children ages 3 through 4th grade. We use a curriculum called Shine: Living in God’s Light to nurture children in their faith formation and explore what it means to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
Our classes are led by amazing parish volunteers who help children know, love, and serve God by engaging them in the language and habits of worship, respecting them as partners in ministry, and encouraging them to engage directly with scripture. In our program, children are poised to consider how God is working in the world and how they are invited to participate in that work.
Children thrive on the predictable structure of each class: a gathering exercise, the sharing of a bible story, wonder and reflection, and time to process and respond to the story through art, movement, retelling, and other activities. Classes are bookended with opening and closing prayers. Children depart with a special blessing.
Trinity Play Children’s Choir
Practices take place Sunday mornings before Trinity Play, from 9:00–9:15 am. The choir performs during the 10:15 am service at various times throughout the program year.
Episcopal Creative Arts Day Camp
This week of fun, art, play, music, and friendship is sponsored by Episcopal churches in the Twin Cities metro area every summer. The camp takes place at St. Mark’s Cathedral in Minneapolis and is open to children ages 4 through rising 6th graders. There is a small registration fee with scholarships available. More information available here.
We take special care to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children. Our staff and parishioner volunteers are Safe Church trained and abide by all childcare best practices as laid out in the ECMN’s Safe Church Policy. You can learn more about Safe Church here.
Summer | Home Vacation Bible School
The Trinity Garden Themed vacation bible school assisted by zoom finished in late July. 9 children attended and learned how God provides abundance and had a great time! If you would still like to complete this as a home program, the activities, songs, stories and prayers all provided for you to download and fit into your families schedule.
