As you know, our Priest Associate, Anne Miner-Pearson will be retiring both from Trinity and from public ministry on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Anne has served as a priest for some 40 years – so her “last day” will be a BIG “last day!”
On May 8 we will have a single festive Eucharist service at 9:30 am for the whole parish in the main sanctuary. Anne has asked to give the sermon that day. Eric and I will plan a special worship service that will include the giving of our parish gift, a blessing for Anne, and singing her favorite hymns. Then, we will party – if the weather is good, it will be outside on the front lawn.
It is very important that we celebrate and honor someone who has given us so much for so long. Anne has been an impactful person in my life: a spiritual guide, trusted colleague, and a faithful friend. And I know that she holds a very special place in each of your lives. Please join me in offering to Anne an expression of our love for her, and our blessing as she embarks on her life’s next great chapter.
