Trinity is a welcoming community and seeks to incorporate all persons fully into the life, mission and ministry of the church once you have chosen to join us. We make room for you in worship, leadership, and ministry at your pace. After several visits, those interested in joining Trinity Church often participate in one of our new member classes in which they meet with one of Trinity’s clergy and other new members to learn about Trinity Church, the Episcopal Church, and to get to know one another.
Learning more: Newcomer Classes
When desired, we offer potential new members an opportunity to meet for up to four more weeks to explore in greater depth the spirituality of the Episcopal Church, our polity, and how Trinity Church lives out its life in Christ in this place.
Becoming a Member
If you decide to join Trinity Church we invite you to do so in one or more of the following ways:
- by transferring membership papers from a previous church
- by being received (Catholic, Orthodox, or Lutheran) or confirmed (other Protestant denominations) into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop
- by entering the congregation as an Affiliate Member, that is, one who wishes to affiliate with our parish but is not ready yet to become an Episcopalian, or one who is of another denomination and married to an Episcopalian
- or by Holy Baptism
New members joining by a), b) or c) are welcomed into Trinity Church during a Sunday morning service. The rite of welcome may be viewed by clicking here. Those who become members by Holy Baptism are made full members of Trinity Church and the Episcopal Church by that rite.
