Luke grew up in rural Ohio, where he was involved in music in his home church from an early age, and served as organist for his home (Lutheran) congregation his senior year of high school. He attended Valparaiso University, where he majored in church music and minored in humanities; he graduated Bachelor of Music summa cum laude in 2005. Currently he is working toward a Master in Sacred Music at Luther Seminary and St. Olaf College. Professional organization memberships include the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and the Hymn Society. He avoids homework by watching British comedies, practicing, and reading history, theology, music, and fantasy books. |
